Our Mission

My name is Linda Martinez, and I’m the founder of Flamingoaholic. If you’ve ever had a small little hobby that somehow makes your days feel a bit lighter, then you probably understand me already.

A little over ten years ago, during a vacation here in Florida, I happened to see my very first flock of flamingos. They were standing there so gracefully, so effortlessly beautiful in their own quiet way. And for some reason, in that moment, I felt this warm, gentle feeling settle in - the kind that makes you smile without even realizing it.

Ever since that trip, whenever I came across something with a flamingo on it - a mug, a scarf, a little tote, a cute home décor piece - I just wanted to bring it home. At first, it was simply because it looked adorable. But over time, I realized these little flamingo items gave me a sense of calm and “healing,” in that soft, everyday way - reminding me of that bright pink color, that graceful presence, and the cheerful, positive energy flamingos seem to carry with them.

Collecting flamingo things slowly became a tiny joy in my life. Every new piece I added to my collection made the day feel just a little sweeter.

And that’s really why I created Flamingoaholic. I wanted a place to share that simple joy - a space for anyone who loves the lighthearted, uplifting feeling that flamingos bring. We may come from different places or walks of life, but if we share that love for this lovely shade of pink, I think we’ll understand each other just fine.
